Why do people disapprove Dragon Age: Redemption with such passion? Did you expect the new LothR? (or maybe it’s so only in my barbaric country, where every fandom consists of haters =_=)
It’s only web-series.
I really like Dragon Age: Redemption. Yeah, it’s low-budget, but I love the atmosphere and Felicia is cool. She reminds me of Xena.
It’s not the budget. It’s not the look, either.
It’s the fact that Redemption disregards Dragon Age lore and canon logic with such abandon, when the beauty of Thedas is its rich, immersive and consistent world and worldbuilding. It’s about the fact that Day is supposedly a huge fan of DA, played the games and read up on them and everything, yet still wrote and plays a special snowflake Qunari who’s more like a very strange Tal-Vashoth.
And that web series is supposed to fit into Thedas, not warp the world to fit itself and the accompanying DLC. If it is meant to add to the Dragon Age world, it damn well needs to match the storytelling standards previously set. Just as Thedas deserves.
In short, serah, you may deal with the fact I like holding my canon material to high standards.
PUT A PAIRING IN MY ASK AND I WILL TELL YOU MY OPINION ON IT
The opinions will range from long and involved to stuff like “kill it with acid”
Whyyyyyyyyy noooooooooooot. I’m an ask whore.
TL:DR; version - Here is a post that talks about Sten’s smile perceived from two different viewpoints, and briefly references Gatekeepers.
Right, so. The fandom says Sten smiles Once Only Within The Game, when you retrieve his sword. Which I always counter with this:
For not only does it disprove the notion, it’s a smile I’ve always vastly preferred to THIS:
Absolutely beautiful. I love it. C: <33
